Clinical Approach

My goal is to meet you where you are, tailoring my approach to fit the individual in front of me. I draw from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Strength-Based approaches, Harm Reduction, and Mindfulness. With each client, I emphasize the importance of treating yourself with kindness, being non-judgmental, and recognizing every achievement, no matter how small, with a well-deserved pat on the back.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals aged 18 and above who face challenges such as trauma, grief, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, addiction, and relationship issues, among others.

Training & Credentials

Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Vermont. National Certified Counselor (NCC) with additional certifications including Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (CDBT).

My Why

I genuinely believe that with support, anyone can overcome whatever is thrown their way. Many people are struggling due to fear of what others may think or say. The feelings of shame and loneliness can be paralyzing. My goal is to help individuals break free from shame, guilt, and other burdens. It only takes one person to provide a safe space to create significant change in someone's life.

What to Expect

Just come as you are. I am here to help you throughout this process. We are in this together. You'll know therapy is working when you develop a deeper awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which will enhance your mindful engagement in various activities. As you progress, your inner critic will diminish in intensity, making way for a stronger presence of self-compassion and kindness in your life. You may even start giving yourself that pat on the back when noticing a victory.

Creating Inclusive Space

As an American Jew, I truly understand the challenges that come with our identity in today's world. Being a practicing Jew not only deepens my understanding of our traditions and rules but also brings awareness of the unique pressures we face in our community. I am deeply committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels genuinely understood, heard, and supported.

Beyond Therapy

I absolutely love watching my favorite New York sports teams and going to any game I can! I am a forever loyal fan of the Knicks, Rangers, Mets, and Jets! I also volunteer for SMART Recovery NYC as a trained meeting facilitator and serve on the Board of Directors.
